Villa Bernardi is a beautiful, spacious Tuscan casa colonica (farm house); it is suitable for 10 people and has been used for family gatherings or parties with friends. It offers over 420 sq m of living space which meanders over 4 levels. The original farm dates back to 1085. Since 1988 Villa Bernardi has been remodelled twice; the first remodeling brought the property out of a ruin state, while the second made it rental ready. The house is designed not to feel like a rental property, but like a gracious vineyard residence. The estate is often photographed and is featured on posters and postcards; pictures and paintings of the property adorn the walls of several businesses and a Florentine restaurant.

The structure is constructed in a traditional rustic Tuscan style: white-washed or stone walls, wood beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. The interior is pure luxury and comfort; the home has many large windows and doors, ensuring an abundance of natural light. There is a large gourmet kitchen/dining room with separate “work kitchen”, a spacious living room, a parlor and a gym as well as 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (3 of which are en-suite). The bedrooms are situated in such a way that each guest has a bit of privacy. Each bedroom is outfitted with a ceiling fan and the windows are screened. There are multiple terraces, each of which has its own unique and magnificent view. The villa has a private 15 m swimming pool, where one can relax in a tranquil atmosphere while enjoying the surrounding landscape.

The house is designed to feel like a gracious vineyard residence, and is often featured on posters and postcards of Tuscany. The ground floor features an entry parlor and marvelous kitchen. The kitchen features a Gaggenau oven and microwave; Rossieres gas stove with 2 additional ovens; Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer; granite island with 2 sinks, and kitchen table accommodating 10 people. In short, a gourmet cook’s paradise! There is also a gym on the ground floor, outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment. The first landing features 1 double-bedded room with en-suite bathroom (shower) and small private patio. The second landing features the main living room with fireplace, TV, DVD, and internet access. There is also a covered patio which overlooks the gardens and the magnificent Chianti hills. The third landing offers 1 double-bedded room with private balcony and 1 twin-bedded room; 1 bathroom with both tub and shower. The fourth landing features 2 double-bedded rooms, each with en-suite bathroom with shower. All windows in the house have screens. Outside there are many beautiful mature gardens, with something always in bloom. There is a stunning infinity pool with beautiful views. Several private terraces, with the main terrace off the kitchen offering spectacular views, table for 10 people, and built-in American style BBQ.

Villa St. Bernardi is situated on a hill just 3 kms south of Panzano-in-Chianti with all shops and restaurants, and generally noted as the premium wine region of Chianti Classico. The villa sits on a 130 acre estate, which is also the home of a small boutique winery. The property is centrally located for exploring all the best of Tuscany. Florence is 45 minutes to the north and Siena is 45 minutes to the south.
